Is love an active choice?
Posted on 1:15 AM by Unknown
The question raised was whether love is something that happens to you or if it is an active choice?
I like the word 'active' being used here :-)
This quote below was posted in that facebook group. I like what it says and believe it’s good to think about where one stands in this: Where i stand in this subject is that i think Love is a commitment. For me it's an irrational process, which i want to make sustainable by consiously commiting, by chosing to be true to the love i feel. For wich i am grateful as it has opened my heart in ways i never thought possible. It's an active choice for me to stay true to my loving open heart...
"For this reason loving involves commitment. We are not automatic lovers of self, others, world, or God. Love does not just happen. We are not love machines, puppets on the strings of a deity called “love.” Love is a choice—not simply, or necessarily, a rational choice, it moslty is an irrational one, but still it is an inner choice. It's a willingness to be present to others without pretense or guile. Love is a conversion to humanity—a willingness to participate with others in the healing of a broken world and broken lives."

Could i go to this place for love?

Kahlil Gibran On Marriage and relationships
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.
This is Kahlil Gibran’s poetic take on what a relationship between a man and a woman should be about. I agree with these words a 100%. I feel like I am on a journey to discover ‘the how’ to accomplish to be in and stay in this state of mind. In short: a man came back into my life, his energy shot me right in the heart (again), the shutters of my heart blew wide open, and when the exhilarating love energy clouded my vision i kind of felt i had lost a part of myself (again). And now that i'm back I don't want to disolve my whole being in that magnatical love anymore but i do want to keep on feeling it's magic in every cell of my body. How?!!!!???!!
While getting acquainted with Pixie Campbell’s sacred grit tv and her blog I was very happy to discover she shared so much more of her shamanic powerful wisdom with all of us. Like for example in her 7 journeys’ souLodge spreecast’s. I have started to watch them one by one, they fill me with inspiration I did not feel for a long time. Which filles me with hope and optimism while I slowly come out of a long and difficult walk through my own muddy shadow lands. Finding these treasures of wise words by Pixie and her wise friends is just what I needed. This Kahlil Gibran poem comes from a blog that i found after listening to Pixie’s talk on Spreecast with StephanieAnderson Ladd. It comes from her blog where she writes more wise words on relationships. Reading Stephanie Anderson’s blog I feel like again I found a role model to learn from. Another 'wise woman' who's words can help me in my own personal quest to become more aware of my own female power and in becomming a more abundant lover, a more sacred mother and ultimatly become more of the real me!!! Thank you overseas and beloved sisters!!!

Sacred sex & sacred money
Posted on 2:05 AM by Unknown
This is a delightful conversation between two wise women sharing their views with us on the subject of sex&money. What they talk about is strong and it was about time I heard the sacred message of it. There for I feel a deep gratitude to these two bold women to put it out there for all of us to see and hear. No matter if you are male or female, this subject and the message from this beautiful conversation between Pixie and Athena is speaking to us all.
I want to share a few things I love about what they brought up are and my own thoughts about it.
When you look at both money and sex as an energy exchange it can change the choices you make. As Athena says each exchange, moneywise or in sexual contact with another person leaves an imprint on our soul. We carry this imprint with us for the rest of our lives and maybe even beyond. We should treat making the choices around these subjects with great care and with great mindfulness. We all somehow know this to be true when it comes to having sex with someone, but it is equally as true when it comes to money exchange. It’s important to look at our own attitude towards both.
On the subject of sex they are saying some really really profound and wise things. I had a smile on my face the whole time they discussed it. Their open mind and the openness is really soothing . one thing that stuck with me is the subject of what makes us experience sex as sacred sex. Both feelings of protection and feeling safe with your partner is important issue to us as women when it comes to being able to be really intimate with a man. We can’t get really ‘naked’ (not only with our body but also with our soul) with anyone and have the experience of sacredness in sex if we don’t feel safe and protected by them. I know this seems like an old and conservative concept but I truly believe it’s just the core of who we are as humans, not just as women. I also think that being able to be vulnerable in the company of the other is just the greatest gift to give to your partner. It brings the sex between two people to a whole new level. And I think this works both ways, not just as a woman but also as a man. To be able to be vulnerable with your partner, feeling safe with them is where the sacredness starts. Another thing that stuck with me was what Pixie said about our fixation of being seen. She says the fixation of ‘I want to be seen by others’ is really about the need of being vulnerable. We want to be ‘really seen’ by the other(s), but does anyone ever really see us? Like Athena says, can we see the other for who they really are or is what we see always ‘just’ a reflection of who we are ourselves? Good question, huh? Illusion or not, all I know from my own experience is that it is ultimately a great erotic impulse when we feel like we are really being seen by our sexual partner.
When it comes down to business and money and economy we I think should be lucky to live it these ‘heated’ times. We should be deeply thankful for the global crisis. The world is changing right now. And there are more opportunities than ever to change it for the better. If we become more and more aware of people putting their soul into what they are selling it will bring more joy and more taste and more beauty to our lives. What Pixie said so well is we should look for is the sacred feeling we get from what we buy and what we sell. So the more we consciously choose to give our money to that person or company who soulfully makes and sells what you buy it’s an opportunity to help create a new attitude when it comes to economy, actually its creating a whole new economy. Imagine what would happen if we choose everything we buy and put into our bodies consciously, and also if we choose consciously what to sell to people and how to sell it? When we put ‘soul’ into money transactions what kind of wonderful would that do to ourselves, the people around us and on a larger scale to the world, just take a minute and think about that. It creates a heartfelt and sincere world, and we have the chance to create that right now! And get to live in it, wow!
Something else that’s important to think about when it comes to selling our own creative gifts, as pixie says so beautifully, energy leakage is something we should be more aware of. Energy leakage as in, we sell something but the price we ask is not feeling quite right, or we give away our work for free too easily. This is something I can relate to very well because I am always thinking ‘why would anyone pay me for what I made’? When someone buys a piece of my art I tend to be so overwhelmed I forget the whole concept of receiving money being important altogether, I even try to put it down . I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember, so it’s really about time I look at this huge energy leakage and how to fix it! Because earning money is not unimportant is it? It’s not about the money making, it’s about the sacred exchange.
The video of their conversation about money&sex I posted in this blog post. If you can spare your time ii is worth watching every second of. I would just like to say amen to all that they brought up, and huge THANK YOU to Pixie and Athena for putting it out there for everyone to watch.
A TIP for eveyone that is about to watch the video, join in in the wonderful (short)meditation Athena is doing with us at the beginning of the conversation. It is really good!
