Walking on the edge
Posted on 12:45 AM by Unknown
This morning i found a comment left by someone anonymously on my last post with sketches from Louis Ck.
I deleted it, because i felt attacked, i regretted i did immediately after i had done that. I took a second closer look as to why i felt attacked, and then saw no reason to feel that way at all. And by the way posting your opinion in this way, anonymously, does not show for a lot of bravery or much skill to really openly communicate about important stuff...
Luckily i found a copy of what they have said in my mailbox, so here it is:
"Girl - you must had a terrible day to then find this man funny. What's funny about a monologue filled with expletives?".
This person clearly does not Louis CK's kind of humor, and that's okay. I just want to respond openly therefor out here to why i do think he is very funny. It is an interesting topic to have a discussion about or to just spend some time thinking to your self about. Because even if i do see and feel that some of his content is too 'load' on the expletives side, so yes i agree with that to some extend, i still find it very very tempting to watch and love it too. Because if you listen carefully to the bottom line of most of his sketches you will see he is a very conscientious person who wants to get an important message across. I find the way he chooses to do that very interesting and most of all courageous. Why courageous? Because he walks the fine line between worlds to get a meaningful message across. When people do that, walk on the edge but still manage to not fall off, i applaud them!! Well even if they did fall off here and there, that's totally okay by me, that's life. And using words like he does, Jeesh man!!! What's wrong with that?? Sometimes i really hate to live in this fake world we create, where everything is nice and neat. Why does everything have to be aesthetically correct all the time?!?! He just says it like everyone thinks it!! If you look closer his kind of courage is a medicine to heal with...By making us feel uncomfortable he teaches us about who we really are, not the pretty us but the real us! That's what inspires me..... But please don't mind me i know am an incurable romantic, i see poetry in the strangest places..
I love it when people respond to my discussions, so please do feel welcome to leave your view to share with us...any view..
