Disguised divinity

Posted on 4:59 AM by Unknown

“In mythos and fairy tales, deities and other great spirits test the hearts of humans by showing up in various forms that disguise their divinity. They show up in robes, rags, silver sashes, or with muddy feet. They show up with skin dark as old wood, or in scales made of rose petal, as a frail child, as a lime-yellow old woman, as a man who cannot speak, or as an animal who can. The great powers are testing to see if humans have yet learned to recognize the greatness of soul in all its varying forms.”

― Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes,

Book:Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype

Pixie says:
They show up as a boy with SPD, a neighbor fixing his car, bright eyes in the check-out stand, a young maiden about to be married, an outcast in black, holding a sign at the off ramp, as a broken woman with a broken baby and broken English...

Thank you Pixie

Summer is over....

Posted on 11:47 AM by Unknown

Today:
Changing my balcony painting studio into an indoors winter studio. :-( summer is definitely over :-(
Taking care of a child with cold
Picking new and loads of elderberries
Cleaning elderberries
Sorting elderberries (which takes ages)
Freezing elderberries
Making vegetable soup and baking french fries :-)
Finding beautiful words on my timeline, (thanks Pixie Campbell)

Sky of blackness and sorrow
Sky of love, sky of tears
Sky of glory and sadness
Sky of mercy, sky of fear
Sky of memory and shadow
Your burnin' wind fills my arms tonight
Sky of longing and emptiness
Sky of fullness, sky of blessed life

Scarcity complex?

Posted on 11:12 AM by Unknown
“You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.”

― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

I accompany this post with this one of my paintings of apple trees. To me apple trees symbolize abundance.
Actually fruit in general feels like that to me..

The concept that stuck with me most today while studying all of the 'Woman is a River' material is that we are taught to think in terms of lack of what we want and think we need instead of what recourses we do have available to us.  Today I am ashamed to admit I have started to ask myself for the 1st time in my life in a real and honest way ‘why do I focus on the things that aren’t there’? What is the root of that way of looking at the world I am part of and surrounded with?  I am among the people that are the most lucky ones in the world, simply because I live in the West where there is no war, where there is freedom and where there is still all we really need, like food and water and roofs over our heads. Today one of the co-participants of this Woman is a River adventure brought to our attention this very interesting blog article that i will copy entirely in to this blog post. I do that because its angle towards the scarcity of abundance issue i think we who live in the western world (almost) all have is a very important one i think. Her theory sheds another light on this issue. I think that this is too a very  inspiring angle to look at it.

But fact remains that I am very well aware that we can only think or talk about this subject because we live in this abundant part of the world where we can afford to spend time thinking and writing blog-posts about this.

Is it scarcity complex, or a call to adventure?

If you tell someone with a bent toward the spiritual and/or self-help that you feel a sense of lack in your life, she might look at you with a faint hint of disapproval. She might tell you that what you put your attention on, grows, and we become what we think about most.
So don’t focus on the lack, she might tell you. Focus on abundance. Focus on enough. You have everything you need. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. This moment is perfect. You are perfect.

But what if that lack isn’t the symptom of a scarcity complex, but something else?
What if it’s your call to adventure? The beginning of your hero’s journey?
What if it’s your way into a richer, deeper, more meaningful life?
According to mythologist Joseph Campbell and depth psychologist Jean Houston, inside all of us is a longing for more. This isn’t the voice of the void but the cry of your soul, driving you toward wholeness and self-actualization.

Houston explains in this interview that The Call might start off as bland and generic: I want to get married, or, I want a new career. The “usual things”. But at some point there’s what Houston terms a second genesis, when another level of possibility starts to rise and you realize there’s so much more to you than you knew or suspected.
That’s when your life’s adventure begins.

And by the way, you are perfect. You are exactly where you are supposed to be – until life keeps whacking you with hints and reminders that you should really be on your way to somewhere else. (In storyteller’s parlance, this is known as ‘resisting the call’, and the hero will continue to stagnate, to live out a death-in-life, and life will keep poking and frustrating and disrupting her, until she’s willing to leave her ordinary world and strike out for the territories.)

Moving into your yearning is different from trying to fill the void through a hard or soft addiction. The latter leaves you worse off than before, wanting more but requiring ever more to achieve the same effect. What is addiction, in the end, but a spiritual quest pulled inside out?
To move into your yearning is to recognize and honor your needs. It is to move to the other side of lack, where you can start to remember who you are.

What People Really Look Like

Posted on 3:37 AM by Unknown

Okay, i admit i am getting really distracted from my Pixie, 'Woman is a River' tapes now now, but this article was really inspiring too and i could not, NOT post it :-)

*******************************************************************************

What People Really Look Like

Women have cellulite, men have silly buttocks.

I’ve been a massage therapist for many years, now. I know what people look like. People have been undressing for me for a long time. I know what you look like: a glance at you, and I can picture pretty well what you’d look like on my table.

Let’s start here with what nobody looks like: nobody looks like the people in magazines or movies. Not even models. Nobody. Lean people have a kind of rawboned, unfinished look about them that is very appealing. But they don’t have plump round breasts and plump round asses. You have plump round breasts and a plump round ass, you have a plump round belly and plump round thighs as well. That’s how it works. (And that’s very appealing too.)

Woman have cellulite. All of them. It’s dimply and cute. It’s not a defect. It’s not a health problem. It’s the natural consequence of not consisting of photoshopped pixels, and not having emerged from an airbrush.

Men have silly buttocks. Well, if most of your clients are women, anyway. You come to male buttocks and you say -- what, this is it? They’re kind of scrawny and the tissue is jumpy because it’s unpadded; you have to dial back the pressure, or they’ll yelp.

Adults sag. It doesn’t matter how fit they are. Every decade, an adult sags a little more. All of the tissue hangs a little looser. They wrinkle, too. I don’t know who put about the rumor that just old people wrinkle. You start wrinkling when you start sagging, as soon as you’re all grown up, and the process goes its merry way as long as you live. Which is hopefully a long, long time, right?

Everybody on a massage table is beautiful. There are really no exceptions to this rule. At that first long sigh, at that first thought that “I can stop hanging on now, I’m safe” – a luminosity, a glow, begins. Within a few minutes the whole body is radiant with it. It suffuses the room: it suffuses the massage therapist too. People talk about massage therapists being caretakers, and I suppose we are: we like to look after people, and we’re easily moved to tenderness. But to let you in on a secret: I’m in it for the glow.

I’ll tell you what people look like, really: they look like flames. Or like the stars, on a clear night in the wilderness.

One of my dreams..

Respond to every call that excites your spirit. ~ Rumi

Today i have time to catch up with my long list of 'things to see' and to research online. No kiddies running around until later today :-)

So on my list is to take all the time i need to listen to all the recordings Pixie made for the 'Woman is a River' e-course that begun last week and i am so so happy to be participating in right now.
On the one hand i did not have time to listen to all the wonderful things she recorded during the week, but i also recognize it wasn't merely a lack of time, it was more a fear of what i would be hearing. My relationship with money and abundance is a tight, a tense and fearful one..As i wrote in this post a few days ago. So to be fully present and fully participating in 'Woman is a River', is an experience for which i need solitude and room for my emotions to run where they need to run while listening to what Pixie has to say. So evidently that requires a day without kids :-) So i saved them all up for today. Sitting here by the computer with my cup of coffee enjoying Pixies words..What she has to say is so profound and immediately hits me home right it the core of my heart. She is a great teacher!!! And i am so blessed and happy to be able to call her 'my' teacher too..

But occasionally today i am distracted by other inspiring peoples work while i listen to Pixie..Like the work of Jen Lee. And when i get inspired like this i feel a calling to share my inspiration with you here right away..

This trailer gives an idea of what the film Indie Kindred is about. I love the theme, 'Creative work and connection'. Let them come together. I too have been experiencing the lonely feeling of making the things i make and feeling deep need of connecting with other makers. But when allowing myself to feel that need of finding kindred spirits i feel very alone at the same time i admit this need. Because it brings to the surface the anxiety of nobody speaking my language being there to connect with, or a bigger fear i have, that the ones i would want to connect with aren't interested in connecting with me. Life is all about connection, i believe for all of us. And one of the richest feelings of abundance is when you find the people that make you feel you and that make you feel part of a larger whole.

What i love most about the film is that Jen Lee is not only making the film, she is also doing something about connecting creative people actively. She travels through the US right now with the movie, while creating small screenings. At those small screenings creative people come to see the movie. They are people directly from that particular city, village or area. People that come to see the movie will feel drawn to the theme of it.

And boom! As a bonus to seeing a great movie they will meet and recognize each other at the same time. This way they are enabled to see each other as the creative people from that geographical area, and can create a togetherness and a community (if they want to) after such a screening.. I just love these kinds of beautiful initiatives.. so inspiring.

I would like to become someone who comes up with good ideas to do just this, connect creative people from a certain place in the world and form a community.. One of my dreams!!!

Dreaming my big dreams

Posted on 11:54 AM by Unknown

For the story i am about to post tonight i feel i need some of this music, some relaxing, calming me down music..

“The truth is not always beautiful, nor beautiful words the truth.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Okay, here i go. But first let me post some introduction:

This place, my blog is supposed to be a safe place to vent all sorts of things, also the ‘hard’ stuff,  to the world. I do that because in the 1stplace it helps me to get real with my struggles. Seeing them back here written down in black in white,  and the scary part, being readable to everyone that like to visit my blog. This makes that all I write should feel like the truth to me, and there for I need to be very conscientiousness of what I write and how I write. That conscientiousness helps me to stray clear and truthful to myself, well as truthful as I can anyway way. And no I am not naive, I know this is an open space and therefore can be entered by everyone, even someone who does not care about this being a safe place. But I’ll take my chances for such person can be touched with beauty of truth telling too.

This is kind of a big one for me, as it is my deep deep dream,  to be together with a (large) group of people and help each other heal our old, new, deep, shallow, sharp, bloody and nasty wounds. Help each other heal by truth telling. As someone else described these kind of spaces,  and I can’t say it better than she did, so I echo her words of beauty:

“This is a place of beauty. Each of us have to learn discernment.. How to see through the fog of untruths we keep telling ourselves. This is a place where you are all my witnesses. May this be a place be a safe steppingstone to leave the shadows behind”.

Namaste xxxD

So now i will tell the truth about a very hard topic for me, MONEY!  I will talk now about my (screwed up) relationship with money..

Money is an incredible hard topic for me, has been so for as long as I can remember. Coming from a one parent household, my mother never worked, and thus there was no money, just welfare, and that was very little. I’ve been angry with her for as long as I can remember that she did not make a ‘real’ living, but mostly for the fact that she did not model for me and my sister how to do it. So I grew up incredibly insecure of being able to make a living in any kind of job, let alone trying to monetize on my dreams and where my heart lies, which is art. I have done millions of different jobs until now,  none of which I ever loved or liked. I now know why I was running so hard without even taking time to breathe, I tried to prove to myself I could do it! That I could take care of myself, that I could work hard, that I could hold on to a job, that I could make a living on my own strength. But I also can see now that almost all the jobs I have had these past 30 years have all made me feel like grabbing me by the throat, like being chocked. And it did literally, because living my life this way has gotten me to the point of being ill, so severe, and so often, that I could not work anymore and lost my job.  Which then again lead me into welfare, which is my current status. How ironically, me being on welfare, I never wanted to become my mom, but I have...I am now a mom myself of two little kids and on welfare. What’s the  message? Whatever it is I haven’t been strong enough yet to listen to it yet.. And most of all it makes me feel ashamed to be on welfare.

I have been a (big)dreamer all my life, and have kept failing to make a living out of those. It has gotten me to the point of giving up on my dreams and focus my life on the motto ‘just do the job that pays the bills’ and exhaust myself.

Right now that I am on welfare it’s a blessing in disguise. Since June I have been granted the welfare and thus been granted time, time to think about what it is I really want and how to achieve it, or better said take baby steps to go forward. But as good as this may sound I often find myself in a paralyzing state. I just know that I don’t want to leave this earth and never have tried my absolute best to achieve to live the life I dreamt to live. Even if it’s just a tiny percentage that i will be able to achieve of what I originally dreamt up. I just don’t know how?!?!  I feel some of the dreams are coming back, but still very faintly. The scare of me never being able to amount to anything let alone materialize my dreams is so huge, so humongous, it clouds all I do and think. It's the feeling of me never being able to attain the dream i dream for myself...

So I did it, shared my money fear story..this is very scary but I hope I will be okay after posting this..

Assimilating with my animal guide

Posted on 12:57 PM by Unknown

The painting of the white horse journey is coming to its ending faze. I had some struggles with it because I had real trouble letting go of attaching to an end result. I was very focused on giving an accurate description of my journey, and wanted to paint just that. That was before I understood a tiny tiny little more of what shamanic painting is. Like the aspect of letting the painting talk to you essentially.. But hey, let’s not leave the impression that I know anything about shamanic painting now.  What I try to say is that I understood even less then nothing a few weeks ago...

You know I hope I don’t bore anyone because I really need to write all this stuff down right here on my blog.  Because doing that leads me to see connections from a different perspective then when I would write it down in a dairy form and just for my own eyes to see. I am discovering all sorts of new connections though writing for you. I have always wanted to write a book when I would grow up..Well maybe this blog is a start..

But okay,  back to the journey. What I wanted to talk about is that I had this really weird experience with the white horse after I took my journey.  The day I took the journey was the same day I had my first session with a teacher to lift my energy work up onto a more professional level. I wrote about that fabulous learning experience in this post.  Anyway, back to the white horse... that evening I did a guided mediation for the learning session with my teacher and in that mediation the white horse re-appeared. But in  a totally unexpected way.

During meditating I felt my legs change into horse legs, white horse legs. But i also changed in my upper body, I wore a red Capulet. And I felt I was looking like a person from the middle ages. Could not quite figure out if I was male or female, I tend more towards male, but with a feminine kind of boyish energy. It was so so weird, I have never had something like a change of body occur to me during a meditation before.  And then on top of that I did not even change into a another human but into a half animal half human.. Actually when I write this down I changed into a centaur when you consider I had (white)horse legs. And wow, now that I think of this I wrote a post a few days ago about the cornflower. Which has been my favorite flower  for as long as I can remember, so I researched its symbolic meaning and learned that this flower has as Latin name, Cyanus, which has come from the centaur. Wow, is this what it feels like?? When the subconscious starts talking to me through its web of archetypical symbols and images to give me messages about who I am and where I need to go to be on my true path??

I feel that the main message I got from the white horse Is I that I should release all tendency towards wanting to control situations that are tender and purely made out of emotions. Just leave them as they are, leave them be and go with their flow...without wanting to be the driver of those situations. without attachment to a certain outcome and trying to steer the car that way! In surrendering my desire to steer not only will my physical health improve but also I feel clearly that my emotional health will benefit. And I also believe that any situation will flow, where it is supposed to go. For me this is a tough one to live by. As I always was the one in the driver’s seat. In earthly (money/work) matters I still feel I have to take charge firmly. Maybe that needs to change as well, to leave air to breathe for me and let more abundance flow in to my life naturally.  It’s just so hard to live in faith and surrender when you feel like ( like I do) that you have always had to do everything by yourself. I realize now that I took the drives seat as much as I could to create a sense of safety for myself. Safety has always been a scares state of being in my life. Originating where it originates from for everybody, early childhood.

White horse

Posted on 9:20 AM by Unknown

I haven’t written anything specific about my first shamanic journey. As the last week of the Visual Quest painting course is almost ending. I feel i really need and want to share this experience here. It has been a deeply transformative proces and all i learned has been a huge magical discovery for me. It feels i have now a tool and so many more possibilities to bring my 'real self' into my art work. Its amazing, it's like an opening for a deeper relationship with what i create. I have now tools to connect on a totally different level with my paintings, much deeper then it ever was possible.

With being given the possibilty to participate in the course Visual Quest I feel i have been shown a doorway to go ‘underground’ and meet consciously with my sub-consciousness. I feel really excited in exploring this further. I want to learn to listen carefully to the messages and looking around me when I am there to absorb what I see with as much detail as possible. The animal I met with was a white horse. The message passed by that horse to me during  the journey was I believe to help me go forward in life, in the way that’s best for me. To help me get or stay on my right path..Now I need to figure out what horses stand for and in particular what white horses stand for. And then try to really ‘feel-out’ what it was trying to tell me.

Right now i'm still working on my 'white horse painting'. I will post pictures of it later today..

The concept of the spirit guided message:
It’s important thing to remember about an animal guide and totem is that they are not magic and cannot truly benefit individuals unless they accept the guidance the guides offer and internalize the special qualities of the animal in order to consciously externalize those qualities in outward behavior.
No totem or spiritual guide would lead people to negative or destructive behaviors. You must consider how the animal, with its strengths and positive qualities, is speaking to your own personal spiritual life. Through the exploration of the spiritual meaning on a personal level, animal guides can remind you to call on your reserve of strengths to achieve a more peaceful and rewarding existence.
- Miriam Dunn

I went  looking online to see what spirit guide horses have to tell us  and in particular what a white horse guides tells us. While doing so I came across some beautiful messages, explanations and archetypal descriptions of horse guides.

Here is some of my beautiful findings, the first one is totally matching the message I have been given in my journey. It blew me away as I have found out almost two weeks after my journey that this was exactly the message the white horse has given me.

·         The horse possesses many virtues that are powerful and valuable and which any person would be wise to internalize. The gift of the horse is to release any desire to be in control. the best way to go is to surrender to the horse’s (as I read it ‘to life’)being which in return allows the horse to carry its charge forward on his or hers true path. Thus horse medicine is complete surrender of ego!!!

·         A horse will only bond with someone it trusts. ... When a horse bonds with its owner, there is mutual respect and cooperation. Bonding requires patience because it takes time and is an ongoing process. Bonding requires spending quality time together, especially in a non-working environment where demands are not made. The best way to bond with a horse is simply to hang out together and have fun getting to know each other. A horse will bond when it can sense unconditional love. ... Just as horses will bond only with those they know.

·         Horse totems are associated with the element of air and of swift movement. Get in touch with that energy by visualizing a horse galloping across the horizon with its manes flowing freely.

·         A horse totem is a strong spirit and its magical properties are one of the most influential of all animal totems. Strength, friendship, virtue, cooperation, adventure, movement, freedom..and so much more..

·         Horses represent a guide to overcoming obstacle. Horse people are wild spirits and their spirit cannot be broken.

·         A horse teaches that power cannot be attained by force, but rather it is given to him who is willing to accept responsibility in a respectful manner.

·         The horse totem indicates travel and new journeys and directions in life.

·         Horses are said to be able to sense those with magical powers and can see good or evil in people. They will also warn humans from danger.

·         Horses are very intelligent animals and are sensitive to a multitude of human emotions from happiness to anger and they respond to these emotions in various ways.

·         A horse shows both earthy strength and unearthly powers. It is regarded highly throughout the world and connected with the magical powers of shamans.

·         The power of the horse is the wisdom to remember all steps in one’s life and to learn from them. This includes experiences from a previous life.

·         To watch a horse in the wild is truly an experience of its majesty, its grace and its magnetism.

·         Real power is strength used with wisdom. This requires love, compassion, and the willingness to share ones achievements and insights with others. It’s important to deny our ego to have access to this power. The horse spirit is power through awareness. A horse brings strength and force into the energy field of the person, which gives them the freedom to journey to far places.

·         One who has the power of the horse will see enhanced insight and intuition, a better sense of self control allowing one the ability to use strong self confidence to move in new directions.

·         The color of the horse is also steeped with symbolic meanings:
white horses: light, sun, day, vitality, illumination, resurrection, messenger of birth

This information i have found on this website

Ready for my next journey

Posted on 2:15 AM by Unknown
Yesterday i had a break-through in finishing this painting. The painting felt stuck for a while. I layered over layer to get into the heart of it, but it failed to work for days..  And there it was suddenly flowing again.. No reason what caused it externally. And today it has flown into be finished :-)  It's a painting with many layers, with many truths, with many intentions and thus with many stories.. It's original reason for me to paint it has turned into another. This one is about my first shamanic journey. It's not about the energy of someone else.

It’s become about my own energy...

I feel happy when looking at it....Not just for the visual way it turned out but for the energy i know is in there, between all the layers.

let the struggle be...

Posted on 6:10 AM by Unknown

I was, and still am, struggling so much with this painting. This is has not began out of one of the shamanic journeys with Pixie Campbell in the course Visual Quest i'm doing. .  I started this the same day I took my firts journey.  I started it parallel to the one about the journey.

This one is, or was, (i still dont know), supposed to be a gift for someone. Someone I like but have never met in person. I wanted to see if i could paint that persons energy. But the more I work on it the more it seems to be about the journey i took.

It’s so weird how painting has a flow of where it wants to go of its own, and letting that process just be is beautiful. That’s one of the many things about painting I need to learn.

Pixie Campbell’s’ wise words help me a lot in my process of letting me come through in my paintings as opposed to letting my intellect and what i learned in art school come through into my work...

Painting and using ones intuition....

Bring it all out, lay it all on the canvas. This can bring up what sucks or what still hurt, stuff that’s eating at us, what’s bothering us, what’s glugging our pipes, what’s creating resistance.  Which obviously not limited to painting. Our discomfort, our anxieties comes up.  So you know what your struggles are about. The best therapist we have is to create.  To follow that energy into the painting.  There is always an opportunity, it’s to look where we can affirm and reassure, the opportunity is to let it be, to let it flow.  To practice acceptance, sit with the discomfort., and at the same keep moving through it. Painting is about being brave.. flow at into the emotional waters of yourself.

-Pixie Campbell
These two creatures are probably the only elements i was content with in the older versions of this painting. I dont know what they are, but i like them..

Journey, how to defeat fear

Posted on 4:28 AM by Unknown

While catching up with the Visual Quest Facebook group and all the other course material, i came across this parable. Some people on Visual Quest have done 'journeys' already, guided by Pixie Campbel. Some came across some dominant and aggressive animals that tried to give them a message. Pixie's advise on this is: trying to 'be' with them instead of running from them might make us understand what they try to tell us. Because it's difficult to 'get' what these intense animals try to tell us if we feel resistance towards their 'style' of communicating with us. That message from animals is what is called 'animal medicine' in shamanic 'language'. I am so happy to learn all this..

This parable sheds a different light on facing fear. It gave me Goosebumps..

Once there was a young warrior. Her teacher told her that she had to do battle with fear. She didn’t want to do that. It seemed too aggressive; it was scary; it seemed unfriendly. But the teacher said she had to do it and gave her the instructions for the battle. The day arrived. The student warrior stood on one side, and fear stood on the other. The warrior was feeling very small, and fear was looking big and wrathful. They both had their weapons. The young warrior roused herself and went toward fear, prostrated three times, and asked, "May I have permission to go into battle with you?" Fear said, "Thank you for showing me so much respect that you ask permission." Then the young warrior said, "How can I defeat you?" Fear replied, "My weapons are that I talk fast, and I get very close to your face. Then you get completely unnerved, and you do whatever I say. If you don’t do what I tell you, I have no power. You can listen to me, and you can have respect for me. You can even be convinced by me. But if you don’t do what I say, I have no power." In that way, the student warrior learned how to defeat fear.

Change of flavour

Posted on 6:15 AM by Unknown
Being away from home this week has brought me in the 'right' kind of flow to make some sketches for 'Visual Quest' which i am sure would have turned out totally different if i would have made them at home. Not that i don't feel inspired at home working in my 'summer balcony studio'. But a change of scenerey works well on changing the flavour on ones creative juices. But not only does the change of surroundings have an influence on what i paint, also the warmth of being in a home with friends this week, friends that i dearly love, have a great effect on my creative flow.

I am not one of those artists that needs to be in isolation while working on new stuff. On the contrary , i work best while chatting and having the people i love around me while creating. Love and friendship are the best medicine for everything.

I love working on Visual Quest sofar. This weekend i will be back home, and most probably working on sketches at my balcony studio again. I am curious to find out what will happen to my 'juices' there.

Flamingo medicine

Posted on 1:17 AM by Unknown
Visual Quest sketch on a ripped cereal box
In this sketch a flamingo appeared. inspired by our visit to the zoo yesterday. flamingo's are one of the most magical animals to me. i always have been fascinated by them. so i was wondering what their 'medicine' is. What i found out about their medicine was simply beautiful...

Flamingo medicine:
Why are your feathers so gorgeuosly pink? We used to be clouds. Pink clouds... How can you stand on one leg without falling over? We think of where we came from and just relax. Anything is possible if we came from being a pink cloud to standing here before you on one leg.
Let him inspire you to stretch beyond your limits and reach for the stars while remaining grounded in Mother Earth. Cut loose from the mundane world. Your imagination lives outside the boundaries of space and time. Use it to look beyond the limits of modern day thinking. Since time began, humankind has turned eastward toward the rising sun to remember Soul’s hope every day.
It’s time to expand your vision - In what ways are you thinking too small?

Words i used in this sketch:
What haunts us most are the things we never said.
I am not a master, i know nothing.
My heart is radiant and it wants t
But i am a servant and i know some
to flow back to the river.

Altar for art

Posted on 8:48 AM by Unknown
Today we had two lovely sisters to visit us.

While these cute sisters were playing with my kids this morning I was busy making my little energy altar. Gathering things that hold the energy i want to pull in during the painting adventure "Visual Quest".. An online course i will be participating in starting tomorrow. Well it actually starts today, but that’s US time. Here in Holland, i will only be able to start tomorrow morning, when the first lessons will begin. Pixie Campbell is the teacher. She is a shamanic painter from the US. I have been following lots of her teachings in the past. Among those teachings are her Spree cast video's, and other media she uses to reach out. She teaches deep lessons about spiritual quest in life, relationships and in art. I love the way she tries to emphasize the responsibility we all have for our lives. To get out of the victim consciousness we are all in at times and to move into taking the bull by the horns when it comes to creating the life that you want. And a lot of her teachings are about how to take that responsibility in your own hands.

This course means a very very whole lot to me, i just know i will be amazed and will spiritually grow by her teachings. I always do. And now it's going to be linked to something very important to me, painting!  So my little altar represents  and more it evokes all that is important to me right now. Energies I want to draw into in the paintings I will create during my Visual Quest course. Love is a big one, the energy that fills my heart in a big way since Oktober last year. And then my great grandmother, she is on the picture, she is with me as a guide right now. I can feel her warm soothing presence around me, which helps me so much. And the feathers i got from a special overseas friend. They come from her own birds, she gathered them for me in her garden. I use them to wave away negative energies and to cleans a room or a person with sage or incense. And my small collection of special stones and crystals, that hold special energy for me.  My altar feels complete right now..YES, I am ready to go :-)

A 'class' in following your dreams

Posted on 11:06 AM by Unknown
Love to hear these two women talk a lot.... The way they handle this subject is so perfect...

The dreams, the family, the business, the preparation, the mindset, the partnership/marriage, to balance all, to vision, and to make it happen...

And so down down down to earth!!!!

          ♥ INSPIRING ♥

Woman is a River

Posted on 2:19 AM by Unknown

Woman is a River, (Pixie Campbell)

I love this analogy! We are like a river, a flow. But things don’t work for us. Why? We tend to block that flow from taking its natural course. It’s important to really think about what we block the river with, so we can repair the flow.

Remove the blocks, which can be so many J . How? I agree with Pixie, the only way to remove them is taking responsibility, seeing we have been putting the block there ourselves.

We don’t  need to look so hard for our life’s purpose. We don’t need to look so hard for abundance. We need to open the flow of our river to allow in what is already waiting to come in.

Here you can listen to Pixie speak about this subject a little deeper...

In September Pixie Campbell leads an e-course with this title. Subscribing to it can be done here...
