The above painting is painted by Anne Siems
I’ve got a few things to share today..first of all..I don’t know if you all remember the “Balancing series”? well this is a series of interviews with artists moms that I hold very high, I had the honor to present them with a couple of questions to learn how they balance their passion for their artwork, art business with being a mom. I was so so happy with every single answer that came back to me from them. This series run for a couple of months last fall. Now I am so happy to be able to say that I have gotten back the answers from one of the artists whose work I dearly love, Lisa Solomon!!! I will feature this fantastic interview on my blog Thursday in this week. So stay tuned ;)
This is artwork made by Lisa SolomonThe first incredible web find I stumbled across with the help of decor8 and Melissa loves is Anne Siems. Her paintings hold the dept and inspiration I wish i had in my paintings. Her imagination and sense of history brought to this day and age are exactly what I need to look at to get fueled up…
And the next web find I desperatly want to share with you is one that's keeping me out of my sleep lately. Designer Naomi Ito! She creates these incredible beautiful fabrics for textile label Nani Iro! This label has the most delightful and inspiring fabrics i have seen in ages. The designs hold a tenderness, fluidness and incredible dreamy quality. They are simply gorgeous! I just can't stop thinking what to make of them..i can't decide to just buy them to look at them all the time or to take a leap and make all sorts of gorgeousness with them Well not entirely true spoken, I already have two pillows ready with this fabric for the new shop update i plan to do next week....:)))))
